Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt open an Ethiopian hospital for Zahara

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Foundation has made a $2 million donation to the Global Health Committee to establish a health center to help children who are affected by tuberculosis and HIV in Ethiopia.

The center is set to be modeled after the Cambodian Health Committee’s Maddox Chivan’s Children’s Center in Cambodia.

The Jolie-Pitts are setting up shop at each of the countries that their children are from, naming hospitals after them in each of the countries.

Angelina Jolie said in a statement, “Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease.”

Brad Pitt said in a statement, “It is our hope when Zahara is older she will take responsibility of the clinic and continue its mission. The fact that poor people continue to die in our world today of TB, a curable disease, because of lack of access to drugs and care is unacceptable.”

Such good people! But are they doing this for the positive press so that they can look like saints? I hope that’s not the case. It’s a tremendously good thing that they’re doing and the fact that they’re giving these clinics to these countries in hopes to help those less fortunate is definitely a ticket to Heaven.
